The Story of Dart & Grey
Founded by designer Megan Trapnell, Dart & Grey emerged from a vision rooted in sustainability, craftsmanship, and quiet luxury. A 2023 graduate with a degree in fashion design, Megan launched the brand with a clear purpose: to create beautiful, timeless pieces that reflect both integrity and innovation.
After joining the Creative Associates programme at Arts University Plymouth, Megan established a connection with leading industry specialists Micronomy, who facilitated an introduction to Princess Yachts in Plymouth—an encounter that would go on to shape the direction of the brand in unexpected and transformative ways.During a visit to their manufacturing site, she proposed a bold idea: to repurpose surplus materials from Princess’ production process into limited-edition fashion collections. The concept was met with enthusiasm, and soon, Megan began developing initial samples, blending the refined aesthetics of fashion with the engineered precision of marine design.
The partnership culminated in Dart & Grey’s involvement in the launch of the new Princess S80, unveiled at the prestigious Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2024. The collaboration marked the debut of a new kind of luxury—one that bridges industries, reimagines waste, and proves that sustainability and elegance can coexist.
Today, Dart & Grey continues to evolve as a modern British brand defined by purpose-driven design, timeless silhouettes, and a commitment to thoughtful production.
